About Carrie

Carrie is self-taught, like most photographers and tries not to take herself too seriously. She is also a great business extraordinaire and is a terrible cook. What a starving artist!

What Carrie lacks in onion chopping skills she makes up for with natural business sense. When she’s not making terrible puns, practicing her greeting card writing skills, or photographing AWESOME clients, you can find her helping other photographers with her photography business tools and wonderful sense of humor.

Carrie has her own successful photography business http://carrieswailsphotography.com where she primarily photographs engagements, weddings, boudoir, and newborn photography. The rest of her time is spent networking, mentoring, and helping other photographers be the best they can be! You can find her photography on Facebook too!

Why “Photography Awesomesauce?”

‘Awesomesauce’ is a word Carrie has found herself using often and therefore claimed as her own.

When I’m not busy writing in third person about myself like a dork I hang out on Facebook, add products to The Shop, do mentoring with other photographers, and make video tutorials for you guys! I’m also on Twitter and you can ask me a question at any time about photography. I’m more than happy to answer your questions!

My work has been featured many places and I love to write articles that can help educate other photographers. I’ve been featured on The Examiner, Photography Web Marketing and at Rachel Brenke Photography.

Anita Fabe - Hi Carrie, I am Anita Fabe, and I am a part-time photographer. I am 33 yrs young and I live in South Africa. I am not that busy doing photography as I work full time. I have loads of ideas and need to put them in action. The thing is, people are always out to get a discount or a free job from me. And when I give them a price, I never hear from them again, or they want to make payment arrangements. My work is good and I can send you a few pics if you want to view them.

Carrie - Anita – There are lots of opportunities to learn about working with clients through all the blog resources and articles, as well as the store where I teach online courses. If you are interested in a photography critique or need one-on-one help you can check out The Store and sign up for a business consult/mentoring session! Thanks for stopping by!
